미국 산호세에서 연수 프로그램에 참여하던 중 우연히 윤대표님을 만나게 되었고, 제14회 2026 New Year Celebration 행사에 참석하면서 K-PAI를 처음 알게 되었습니다.
AI 분야로의 진로를 준비하고 있는 대학생으로서, K-PAI의 지난 세미나와 활동 이야기를 들으며, 이 커뮤니티와 함께한다면 빠르게 변화하는 AI 트렌드와 최신 소식을 꾸준히 배우고 따라갈 수 있겠다는 확신이 들었습니다.
또한 각 분야의 최전선에서 활약하고 계신 석·박사님들, CEO, VC분들이 한자리에 모여 서로의 인사이트를 나누는 자리에 함께할 수 있다는 점이 저에게는 정말 소중한 기회로 다가왔습니다.
그러던 중 윤대표님께서 웹사이트 유지보수를 도와줄 봉사자를 찾고 계셨고, 마침 저는 컴퓨터공학부에서 웹 개발을 공부하고 있었기에 이렇게 멋진 커뮤니티에 직접 기여할 수 있는 기회라고 생각해 바로 지원하게 되었습니다.
봉사 활동을 수행하는 동안 K-PAI Nexus 커뮤니티의 열정적이고 뛰어난 분들과 함께 소통하며 많은 것들을 배우고 성장하고 있습니다 :)

Soo discovers K-PAI Nexus redefines what community truly means
학부 시절부터 세 차례 창업 경험을 쌓았고, 수많은 네트워킹 행사와 커뮤니티 모임에 참여해 왔습니다. 실리콘밸리에 방문하면서도 다양한 모임들을 경험했습니다. 하지만 2026년 3월 처음 참석한 K-PAI Nexus는 제가 지금껏 경험한 그 어떤 모임과도 근본적으로 달랐습니다.
가장 인상 깊었던 점은, 처음 만난 분들이 저를 마치 오랜 지인처럼 따뜻하게 맞이해 주셨다는 것입니다. 일반적인 네트워킹 이벤트에서 흔히 느껴지는 어색함이나 형식적인 거리감이 전혀 없었습니다. 그러나 더욱 놀라운 발견은 그 다음에 있었습니다.
참석하신 모든 분들이 “우리가 K-PAI Nexus입니다!”라는 자부심을 가지고 계셨고, “혹시 이 분 만나보셨습니까?” “저 분은 소개받으셨나요?”라며 적극적으로 서로를 연결해 주시는 모습이 인상적이었습니다. 마치 한 사람이라도 더 소개하지 못해 아쉬워하시는 듯한 열정이 느껴졌습니다. 누구도 손님이 아니었습니다. 모두가 주인의식을 가지고 커뮤니티를 가꾸어 나가는, 진정한 의미의 자율적 공동체였습니다. 이런 Community는 정말 첨이었습니다!
단순한 네트워크가 아닌, 진정한 Community의 의미를 체감할 수 있었습니다. 그래서 참석 다음날 바로 K-PAI Nexus Tech & Social Media Committee에 합류하였고, 제가 전문성을 가진 UI/UX 분야에서 기여하고 싶다는 의사를 밝혔습니다.
이제 저 또한 K-PAI Nexus의 일원으로서, 다른 분들께 “우리가 K-PAI Nexus입니다!”라고 자랑스럽게 말씀드리고 있습니다. 여러분도 꼭 함께 하시어 이 특별한 공동체의 에너지를 경험해 보시기를 권합니다.

Visiting Student finds K-PAI Nexus transforms a semester into lasting opportunities
As a visiting student spending one semester in San Francisco, I had the chance to attend a K-PAI Nexus event and it quickly became one of the most meaningful experiences of my time here. Through K-PAI Nexus, I met inspiring professionals who generously shared their insights and opened new opportunities for me. Thanks to connections I made there, I was even invited to the Plug and Play event, which broadened my understanding of the local tech ecosystem.
I also met people who offered valuable guidance for a project I’m currently preparing: the Korea–America Student Conference (KASC), a three-week student diplomacy program between Korean and U.S. university students. One of the attendees encouraged me to reach out as I build partnerships for next summer’s conference, especially for sessions related to semiconductors and AI collaboration.
K-PAI Nexus truly made my semester in San Francisco more meaningful, connected, and exciting. I will be returning next summer for the conference, and I’m currently looking for professionals or companies interested in sharing their expertise or hosting a short visit for our delegates. What an Advanced AI Society Means …
As I read and hear stories of how K-PAI Nexus has inspired discovery and innovation, I’m reminded of what true advancement means — not just in technology, but in civilization itself.
When a student once asked anthropologist Margaret Mead what she considered the first sign of civilization, she didn’t point to tools, fire, or pottery. She spoke instead of a healed femur — the thigh bone. In the wild, she explained, if an animal breaks its leg, it dies. But a healed human femur shows that someone stopped to care for another, stayed behind, and nurtured them until they recovered. That act of compassion, she said, marks the beginning of civilization.
In the same spirit, an advanced AI society is not defined by how intelligent our machines become, but by how responsibly and compassionately we use technology to serve humanity. It is one where innovation goes hand in hand with empathy — where we harness data and algorithms not just for efficiency or productivity, but to create opportunity, fairness, and dignity for all. Progress means designing AI systems that extend human kindness, equity, and shared prosperity. When we do, we build not just smarter tools — we build a wiser and more humane world.
This is the vision that K-PAI Nexus embodies — a community where curiosity meets conscience, and where conversations about AI are ultimately conversations about humanity. It reminds us that the future of AI is not just about advancing technology, but about advancing civilization itself.
Gordon finds K-PAI Nexus that speaks both Bio & Tech
Only 바이오 전공인 제게, 바이오에서 만들어지는 데이터들은 어느 순간부터 핸들링하기 어려울 정도로 쌓여만 갔습니다. 이를 해결하기 위해 배우기 시작한 Stanford Sherlock system은 저에게 새로운 분야의 문을 열어주었습니다. 하지만 전공의 깊이 차이를 여실히 느끼며 좌절하던 중, K-PAI Nexus 모임을 알게 되었지요. 만나서 이야기해보고 싶었던 사람들이 한자리에 모여 있는 것이 너무 좋았습니다. 그분들이 넌지시 던지는 기본적인 이야기조차 이해하지 못했던 적도 있었지만, 듣고 찾아 공부하다 보니 조금씩 이해할 수 있었습니다. 대표적인게 RAG라는 알고리즘을 이용해 데이터 분석에 Hallucination을 줄일 수 있다는..
바이오는 CS 분야의 도움을 통해 이해해야 하는 시대가 이미 왔다고 생각합니다. 아니, 데이터의 정확도를 높이고 인간의 편견에 의해 데이터 편향성을 줄이기 위해 CS는 꼭 접목되어야한다고 생각합니다. K-PAI Nexus는 이런 시대에 바이오 연구자들에게 큰 도움이 될 것이라 기대합니다. 여러 분야 중에 특별히 Bio-AI의 융합 학문을 많이 배울 수 있는 자리가 되어지길 소망합니다.
Joe transforms a Blank Field into a Startup Journey via K-PAI Nexus
K-PAI Nexus는 저에게 스타트업 창업가라는, 전혀 예상하지 못했던 새로운 길을 열어준 특별한 모임입니다. 사실 예전부터 스타트업 아이디어는 있었지만, 바쁜 일상과 현직 업무에 쫓겨 실행에 옮기지 못하고 있었습니다.
그런데 윤 대표님의 초대로 K-PAI Nexus 모임에 등록하던 중, 소속과 직책을 적는 칸을 보고 갑자기 알 수 없는 용기가 생겨 즉석에서 회사 이름을 만들고 직책에 ‘CEO’라고 적었습니다.
그 순간이 저의 창업 여정의 시작이 되었고, 이후 K-PAI Nexus를 통해 각 분야에서 놀라운 성취를 이루신 연사분들과 참석자분들을 만나며 값진 네트워크와 영감을 얻을 수 있었습니다. 그 에너지를 바탕으로 지금은 저의 회사를 하나하나 성장시켜 나가고 있습니다.
